Thank you for your interest in The Austin Children’s Choir.
Our organization is made up of two groups:
- Choir
- Members of this group will focus on aural skills, solfege, rhythm skills, and expressive singing.
- All singers rehearse together from 10-11 AM on Saturday mornings.
- Advanced Choir
- Members of this group are invited based on their excellence in rehearsal technique, singing, and ability to handle part-singing with high enthusiasm. They will sing more challenging music and build strong characteristics of musicianship.
- These singers rehearse for an additional half hour from 11-11:30 AM on Saturday mornings.
Schedule
Rehearsal takes place on Saturday mornings at Hillcrest Church on Steck Avenue in northwest Austin. Rehearsal with the full choir runs from 10-11 AM (please arrive on time or even early!) and advanced choir continues on to 11:30 AM. All Performances are mandatory. Please refer to the calendar page for more information on rehearsal and performance timing.
Tuition
- Full year (August-April): $600
- Per semester (August-December or January-April): $300
- If full year paid by October 1: $550
- Earlybird pricing (paid by August 1): $500
- New singers are invited to attend one rehearsal before committing to join the choir. The ACC treasurer will reach out to confirm payment details after the singer commits.
