The Austin Children’s Choir would like to thank all of our business and individuals who donated items for our Fall Auction. As we round out the 37th season, we are already looking ahead to the future of this organization. The spring concerts will feature a variety of pieces meant to challenge the students and expose them to the long-standing tradition of folk singing. Additionally, our students will be participating in a world premiere of a choral work by composer Kara Stacy Birdwell. We have established a connection with surrounding organizations, such as the Hill Country Youth Chorus of San Marcos, the Bastrop Honor Choir, the Texas Lutheran Community Music Academy Youth Chorus, and Chorus Austin through collaborative performances and clinics. We will continue to seek more opportunities for collaboration with other performance groups over the coming years. Additionally, the Austin Children’s Choir will continue performing locally at the Texas Book Festival, Texas Capital, and Central market.
Every performance opportunity is vital to the development of leadership, professional, and musical qualities in each of our singers. As we approach our winter concert, we are actively seeking donations for our silent auction and hope that you or your business will consider becoming part of the Austin Children’s Choir family and keep Austin singing.
